The 1963 Buick Riviera featured here is finished in a beautiful color combination of Desert Sand and Baronet cloth in sandalwood. We purchased this Riviera from a Buick Collection after they proceeded to do quite a bit of restoration to an already nice original California car. Engine was rebuilt by one of the top engine machine shops in Southern California. The transmission was also rebuilt along with brakes, suspension bushings etc. Body was disassembled received new paint and new chrome. A new interior with installed with new original OEM material sourced from SMS auto fabrics. The 63 won the motor trend car of the year and the personal luxury coupe was a pet project of GM styling head William Mitchell. This car also won two awards at the Art Center of Design show in Pasadena. On two separate occasions the Riviera was chosen by the design students for trophies. One for Big bold American inspired design and Bold American design – Visions of the future.
